A Delicious Simple Chili Recipe

How to Make Delicious Simple Chili

This is the easiest most simplified Chili recipe I have. This was actually a request, and I thought it would be perfect for this weather. Remember you can always substitute the ground beef with ground turkey!

1. The first thing I did was prepare my beans. You are more than welcome to use canned beans; however, they tend to cost a little more.

2. In a skillet, you are going to brown your ground meat on medium high.  At this time you may season it a bit with a tsp of ground garlic powder. Make sure you drain all fat from your meat. When your meat is browned, but not over cooked – put your meat aside .

3. We are now going to saute our veggies on medium heat (the celery, peppers, onions, and etc).  I usually use a little olive oil to sautee these, but it is okay to use whatever vegetable oil you have.

4. Once your vegetables are done, you may add all of your ingredients in a large pot. Your heat should be on medium-low. Once everything is in the pot, and properly stirred, cover your chili and let it cook for one hour. REMEMBER to stir periodically, otherwise it will burn at the bottom!

Is this the recipe for chili beans? As in chili beans and cornbread?
