  1. Smothered Turkey Chops

Fork tender turkey chops smothered in a creamy onion, garlic, and mushroom gravy!

So many of you have been asking me to upload turkey chop recipes for ages now. It’s not that I have been ignoring you, it’s that it was hard as heck to find turkey chops in my area! I searched high and low, and I simply could not find them! I finally just purchase a huge turkey breast from Krogers, and asked them to to cut it into chops. Why the heck didn’t I think of this before?! ANYWAY- Fast forward! I finally have a turkey chop recipe for you all. You can trust, and believe that this will not be the last one!

These smothered turkey chops are a healthier option

In this post I’m going to show you how to make the best turkey chops EVER!

Delicious gravy with garlic and seasonings tops these turkey chops

We are going to smother these chops in a homemade turkey gravy made of turkey stock, butter, flour. We’re then going to load the gravy with onions, garlic, and mushroom. Sounds good doesn’t it? It tastes even better( and I’m not just saying this because I made it!). These turkey chops come out so tender and flavorful every single time. The are best served with mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles. I also like serving them with broccoli or asparagus.

These go great with asparagus and broccoli.

Watch how I make these delicious turkey chops!

Thanks again Rosie. After searching relentless, I finally found the Turkey Chops in Shoprite and a Meat Store on Church Avenue & Flatbush, Brooklyn. I followed your recipe – all ingreds. Wish I could send you a photo. My husband killed it- only left me 1 chop. Next time I will make sure I have more than 4chops. Definately will be making this part of my Thanksgiving menu.

I had to use pork chops because i couldn’t find turkey chops in the store…. i think the 1 hour 15 mins was excessive for my pork chops lol they are tough… but the gravy is delicious.
I will try the recipe again for sure, but cook for lesser time and/or monitor it better.

    Hi Rosie,
I’m so glad I came across your blog. When I bought some turkey chops before my husband put them on the grill and they were really dry. I wanted to know how to cook them to get the full flavor and I came across your blog. They were delicious. I only cooked them maybe an hour and 15 min. The meat was falling off the bone. My daughter is very picky and she loved them. Thanks so much for the recipe!!

Hubby and stepson loved it! Now has become one of my staple recipes! After making this the second time around, I halfed the broth to 2 cups and it was still enough for 8 turkey chops. I opted for chicken broth which still came out nicely!

    Hi Rosie
I saw some shady brook farms turkey breast chops in the store, they were marinated with up to 12% turkey stock and salt. Can I use these chops in your recipe.

Question: Do you put the poultry seasoning in the flour or rub directly on the meat? The printed recipe doesn’t show when to use it.
