Here is a simple recipe for Pork Neck bones and Gravy. This meal is a soul food favorite! There are many ways to make neck bones. With this recipe, we will be baking them in the oven. We’re going to smother our meat with a delicious homemade pork and onion gravy. My suggestions for side dishes are my sweet cornbread ,and my delicious southern style collard greens. Also, I recommend having a lot of hot sauce on hand!

Neck Bones and Gravy

Simple, flavorful, and tender, neck bones and gravy is classic soul food. Serve with mashed potatoes, collard greens and sweet corn bread for the ultimate comfort meal.

Thank you for posting and sharing the incredible recipe’s. I’m trying the neckbones tonight and looking forward to eating them. lol I grew up eating fresh, whole foods we refer to as “soul food.” prepared by my Elders. I payed attention as my Grandmother and Great Aunts were in the kitchen but, I missed the session on neckbones. 😉

    Thank again,
    Joseph

Hi – I just picked up a half a pig that I had processed and after loading that (and the 1/4 cow) into my chest freezer, I had no room left for this large package of neck bones. So I googled it and this recipe looks good. I am going to try it tomorrow!

I can’t wait to try this recipe. I heard about baking neck bones and to me this is the best way to cook them because you don’t have to worry about standing on your feet constantly watching the pot to make sure it does not boil over and etc. I will let you know how they turn out. Thanks a bunch.
