Delicious pecan praline recipe

 

Recently I was introduced to Pecan Praline Candy.  The candy I had purchased was good, but I wanted something better. I wanted a pecan candy that would knock my socks off. I toyed around with several recipes, and added my own kick here and there. This recipe is definitely a winner with many of my close family and friends, and it’s extremely easy to follow. Give it a try!

Pecan Praline Candy Recipe

This Pecan Praline Candy recipe is so simple and delicious! It's sweet, salty, and crunchy. A definite crowd pleaser!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  • 2 tbsp salted butter
  • 3/4 tsp pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  • In a pot, combine the milk, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Stir, and bring to a boil( over medium high).
  • Let boil for 1 minutes then add in the pecans, and butter. Stir in. Let the candy reach 240 F degrees ( use a candy thermometer )
  • Remove the pot from the heat, and add in the vanilla.
  • Stir the ingredients, and let cool for 3 minutes.
  • Stir the mixture, until it starts to thicken.
  • Grease/ Butter a cookie sheet.
  • Spoon out the mixture onto the cookie sheet, and let the candy cool and firm.
  • Enjoy!

    ROSY, WHEN YOUR FANS TELL YOU THE PECAN PRALINE CANDY DID NOT FIRM UP,”TELL THEM IT IS A NICE CHEWY CANDY, FIRMS UP ONLY ENOUGH TO PICK IT UP.WHEN YOU BUY PECAN, THEY ARE CHEWY. AND SOFT/ PRALINES ARE NOT FIRM OR HARD

    Hellooooo, your dishes look amazing . I bet they taste even better than they look. I’m a fan of that Mac n cheese! That Pecan candy, OMG I just want to bite I not the screen .     My mother made pecan candy and right now I just watched your video because I really forgot how my mother made hers. I know she did not use brown sugar. But your recipe looks good. I will now attempt to make mine. I will not use brown sugar,trying to stay true to my mom’s recipe. But you helped me alot
